Hey everybody. This is the third of the four missed-update-make-up comics. There will be a regular update on Friday (well it might be a little late, but it will be here this week).

Before anyone asks me, "Hey, who's the new guy?" That is Quetzal in his human form. You might also ask, "What's Cairn doing back there?" Why he's recharging the gems in his chest, which grant him his magical powers and, as a golem, keep him alive.

TRANSCRIPT

LAMAR: You know I’m sick of this mystical garbage. I don’t get that crap. When we came out here to investigate a meteor, I just assumed there would be some science involved. I was really looking forward to it. I hope we see more high tech threats in the future. I mean I hope there aren’t any threats, but you know, a chance to apply my skills would be nice.

GEIST: It’s not like you ever get any recognition for them anyway.

LAMAR: True. That is my curse, to see my genius go unappreciated – but fame matters not to me, as long as I can serve the greater good.

GEIST: Liar.

GEORGE: Okay, let’s call in the cleaning crew and head home.

QUETZAL: This place had holy energy in it once. It has been desecrated. It was not one of my holy sites, but I would still like to assist in the cleansing.

GEIST: We aren’t finished yet, he should die for what he did to those poor, innocent zombies.

BALDRIC: Wait! Killing isn’t the answer!

GEIST: ...? Are you drunk or high or something?

BALDRIC: I mean usually.

GEORGE: We should probably give the lab boys and the book worms the chance to study him while he’s still alive, to figure out what his connection with that rock was.

LAMAR: Yes, science. That I can get on board with.

GEIST: Fine. I’ll stay my hand, but only for the benefit of my beloved Society. I shall file a request to be the one to finish him off if he’s still breathing after the vivisection.

NARRATOR: END Chapter 1
